Installing Software Using Jamf Self Service All of the software available in the Self Service portal is campus approved. The Self Service portal allows OIT Technicians to 'send' applications to your computer, so that you can download them at your convenience, and without the need for administrative rights. The Jamf Self Service portal will be installed on all Mac computers that are managed by the Office of Information Technology. Note that individual departments may choose to restrict access to some of of these programs for their users, and make others available in addition.If your University-owned Mac or iOS device is not enrolled in Jamf, please submit a Jamf enrollment request. These can be found under the 'MIT Software Center' section of Self Service and include: Several common programs are made available to all users in Self Service by default. You do not need to be an administrator on the computer to install applications from Self Service Common programs Simply click install on any of the available applications to install it. Enter your Kerberos username and password. You'll be presented with a login window as soon below. To access the Self Service application browse to Macintosh HD->Applications->Self Service or press command-space and type 'Self Service'. Self Service allows an end user to install applications made available by their IT admin.
